When a youth services expert at your library advises you check out a particular book, then you do it! I already love Mac Barnett's stuff and what I enjoy about the Jack series is the fact that he's kind of an anti-hero and in this title, Jack gets some comeuppance as he's left behind at the zoo. Jack ends up having to ponder the misery of living in a cage like the rest of the animals. Definitely not a great PR book for zoos, but it's a really funny book (with a bit of sadness and honest questions thrown in).
