I liked the mystery of this one! The vibes were very Sherlock Holmes and that was fun, but I will say the manga left a tiny little something to be desired. I think it’s my own fault for wanting more Mao Mao x Jinshi when it’s not ABOUT jinshi I’m just a little bitch and want more of him.

I’m really hoping for more Jinshi in book 6 if you can’t tell. So I’m manifesting.

This is still one of my favorite manga series. Even though she's no longer a servant, she still doesn't fit in with the rich and nobility. I respect that she doesn't pay attention or take it to heart.

Mao keeps getting called to do mysterious tasks even though she's no longer a servant. She's good at her job. People tend to respect her. I admire her intelligence and the way she carries herself. She moves to the beat of her own drum and minds her own business.

The plot is carried well throughout the volumes. I love Mao and Jinshi. You can tell he likes her and she's so oblivious. It's so cute.
