3.5 stars...interesting perspective on a long-term relationship gone awry but this book is definitely not a thriller.

First off, holy long chapters. This was an interesting storyline but I wasn't a fan of the book ending the way it did.

I wouldn’t call this a “chilling psychological thriller”, but it was a good read.

I thought this one would be quick and thrilling but I’m honestly a little disappointed!

This novel was pretty good it definitely kept my interest but was not overly surprising. Todd and Jody have been living together for 20 years. During this time Jodi has kept a few clients as a therapist. Todd has been doing very well in the real estate business flipping places. Todd has always cheated and it finally comes to head when he gets his girlfriend Natasha pregnant. Natasha is the daughter of Todd's friend which also causes problem. The girl right now wants to leave Jody and he does. Jody is very upset especially when she learns that because they weren't married she's entitled to nothing. Her friend then says she can take care of the problem by hiring a hitman. So Jody quietly sets aside money to do this. Only in the end you learn that it wasn't Jodi's Hitman who killed Todd but Natasha's father's Hitman. I did like that twist at the end but it was hard to like Jody because she had turned her eye to the cheating all these years and then seemed very upset by it and also not much of a go-getter by staying home and barely working. Also Todd is a terrible character, who cheats on his wife and his girlfriend and even ends up with thrush.

this book was seriously such a disappointment
and cannot believe it's compared to Gone Girl
like nothing happens and most of the time not even a single decision makes sense
