I've been meaning to read Fairy Tail for a while. After reading this, I thought it was okay, not my favorite but I can see why it's very popular.
If you like magic, adventure and cheeky humor, this manga might be for you!

I loved the anime, so I decided to give the manga a chance. Unfortunately it’s not as good. The drawings are rougher and the humour is even more sexist. I’ll try volume 2, but so far I’m not impressed.

I’m sad that I didn’t love this, there is so much to love after all.  I find the magic and world building really interesting and the characters mostly incredibly likable, I just can’t move past the constant hyper sexualization of Lucy.  Every other one off character wants to fuck her and none of them view her as a person and I feel like Hiro’s views about women crept into the writing and unfortunately ruined it for me. I understand how people like this I just can’t.
