Of course I was going to read this book, I love the lords of the underworld. However, I was never William’s biggest fan. His love story with Sunny didn’t bother me because I never wanted him with Gilly anyway. It was okay, I’m not mad at it. Just not my favorite character so it wasn’t going to be my favorite book.

I was really disappointed when it was announced that Gilliam wasn't going to happen but after reading The darkest warrior I realised Gena was right. I absolutely loved Sunny she was perfect. I loved Sunny and William together their banter had me laughing constantly, their chemistry was fire and it was amazing to get to see more of William's past, his thoughts, feelings and motivations. I was really worried that I was over hyping this book up in my mind as I've been waiting to read it for 10 years but I shouldn't have worried because once again Gena has blown me away

This was just a fine book. I wasn’t that into William and Gilly as a ship, but I wasn’t a fan of Will’s story here. The plot wasn’t that bad, but I disliked Sunny quite a bit. Honestly, this whole series has gone pretty downhill for me. We’ll see if I pick up any more books from Gena.

You know it’s going to be a fun ride when the playboy prince of Hell is fated to be with one of the last unicorn shifters - it’s all giggles and sparkles until the prophecy of “the one who loves William, will kill him” is looking to come true!
With giggles and unicorn kisses, there will huge reveals, twists and turns that will leave you wanting the next book. Immediately.
