This is the sort of book the word “caper” was meant for.

Not my favorite Heyer romance, but still better than anything else I've read lately. I thought that the hero ended up with the wrong woman and the romance was too slow-going as the mystery took the main plot. There was still the classic Heyer Humour, which made me laugh out loud.

A fun book, and the first Heyer book that I've read in quite some time. My mom and I read it together, and I don't have a whole lot to say about it except that it was very enjoyable. The characters are a little over the top - definitely caricatures - but they were fun, anyway. Eustacie and Sarah Thane were definitely my favorites. XD
The reason it didn't get a 5/5 from me is that the ending happened a bit too fast for my liking. It was dragged out for quite a ways (I read it on Kindle, so I don't have a page amount, but it felt like a long read) and then boom!!!, there was the ending and a neat tidy-up too.
Definitely a good book, though, if you're looking for a light, fun read.

The Talisman Ring is now one of my favourite Heyer books. It is an adventurous romp in which the heroine, a love of romance and adventures, finds herself at the heart of a plot to frame her family for murder. This is very much an ensemble comedy, and while there isn't much mystery, the hijinks they all get into are thoroughly entertaining.
