This was different! I don't think I've ever read a dystopian manga before so that's cool. I'm intrigued.

Very much establishing vignettes. We meet Shion at 12, a gifted, privilege  kid in the gleaming dystopian city of No. 6. A kid called Rat from the wrong side of the wall falls into Shion's life, wounded and fleeing from the authorities. Shion patches him up, which results in Shion and his mother losing their elite status. Four years later, Rat returns the favor, saving Shion's life.

Looking forward to see how this develops.

2.5: meandering plot, generic worldbuilding, yaoi-esque. love intrest also unironically asks main character for his sperm as a way of soliciting sex ?? lol

quotes:

1. rat - this phony town is full of holes, but they’ve managed to fool you all into thinking it’s the ideal city.
shion - that’s not what i think.
rat - oh?
shion - i’ve never thought this city was ideal.
