Overall: 5.25 stars! (That is out of five. I would like to say that the first one is a 6-star book, so that would make the review higher than 5)
This is the first series that I have completed, and oh boy! I am glad I did! This is amazing. Flawless!

This tops my #1 spot on my favorite books, taking #1 from Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros (not saying that it was a bad book, but I loved The Poppy War!)

OMG THIS IS SUCH A GOOD BOOK!!!

I was going to give up on this book at around page ten, I am SO glad that I did not.

This book is set in 20th century in China. We are following a few characters Rin (Fang Runin)

This book is about a war, if you are sensitive to war subjects, or anything in war in general. It would be best if you did not read this book. The author (RF Kuang) has inspiration from Song Dynasty China, the Opium Wars, and the Second Sino-Japanese War.

The author is such a good writer! I can not wait to read Yellowface, Babel, and the two other installments in The Poppy War trilogy!

I love this book and trilogy! I can not wait to start the third installment in the trilogy "The Burning God"

R.F. Kuang has wonderful character development! She is such a talented author, the way she tells stories is immaculate! She is quickly becoming my top 3 authors of all time!

Many people say that "The Poppy War" was their least favorite book in the trilogy, I would like to tell them that they are wrong. So far, The Poppy War is my favorite book in the series!*

This book is sooooooo good! You need to read this series! This entire series is based off of the events of the Second Sino-Japanese War.

R.F. Kuang released the first book in the trilogy (The Poppy War) when she was 19 years old! It was the best book I have ever read! She is such a talented writer, storyteller, historical writer, fantasy writer! She does everything so well, she painted the picture like I knew these characters in real life.

This series is the best one that I have read, I expect nothing to ever take its place.

IMPORTANT:
If you have been in a war, or known someone that has died, or been in a war. This is probally not the book for you. This book series tackles war themes, and the events of the Second Sino-Japanese War.
