This was my first story by Serena Bell. I now want to go back and read some of their other books. I thought this story was sweet and full of heart and I loved seeing the relationship and family dynamics between all the characters. I really enjoyed the storyline and characters and look forward to more from this author.

This was a fun book with a light angst level. Sawyer and Elle were both very likeable and their emotional baggage caused issues, but they talked through things so much that it didn't develop into a huge problem.

Jonah and Madden were so cute and I loved their instant friendship...it read very realistic and was sweet.

This was a cute and quick read. The characters were fun, funny, quirky and had great chemistry. Both are struggling with starting over. One having lost his wife, the other having been divorced.

Elle is starting over after her husband decides to leave her for his high school sweetheart. He betrays her by staying in contact with her throughout their marriage, which made it hard for her to trust anyone. Sawyer lost his wife, and vows to never love again, who needs to feel that loss again. However their kids have formed a bond that is unshakable.

Really sweet read, although there was some hevier subject matter, single parents, cheating ex and wife who had passed the book remained very low angst.
I did NOT like that Elle was the one to break the silence and first approach Sawyer because she felt she had messed up by having completely legitimate feeling and concerns, it would have worked better for me if when Sawyer realised he wanted her back that he rushed to her to fix it.
Otherwise, it was an enjoyable read.

Short, fun, fully open door, does a very good job of recognizing the chemistry between the H/H and being sensitive to real life issues.

This is a fun, sweet, sexy story of two single parents finding their perfect second love. The two boys are totally adorable and make for some fun scenes, I love the way they became instant best friends. Elle's besties are also a source of amusement and the type of besties every woman needs. This book has lots of laughs, some tender moments and some very touching romantic scenes, it is hard to put down once you start reading it.

Every now and then you’d like a story about two fundamentally good people who are finding a way to start over and this was it. Enjoyed it and wouldn’t mind reading more by this author.

This was a really good read! The writing flowed well, and I really liked the characters. Sawyer lost his wife 2 years ago, and is raising his son. Elle is recently divorced and raising her son. They have great chemistry, and I think they made a great couple . Their relationship is not rushed, and I felt like that was exactly what these characters needed. Trevor was a complete jerk, and I understood why Elle had the trust issues she did. Elle's friends were awesome, and I loved the friendship they had. I kind of felt like Sawyer's in laws were trying to sabotage what was happening between Sawyer and Elle. Tattling to Elle's parents was a little much in my opinion. I loved how they made up. It was very sweet. Although this was a first for me from this author, it won't be my last!
