I have read The Crucible before, but I have to teach it to tenth grade students now. My cooperating teacher let me borrow this so I could guide the students and teach them all of the important parts of The Crucible.

I must say that even though the summaries for each scene and act are very short, they make excellent points. I can see myself reading them again as I teach this play to my students. It will be a good tool for me and them. I could even photocopy the summaries for students who need help while reading.

For teaching, there are review questions included that could be used for discussions, study guides, or even essay prompts. These questions really help someone focus the many ideas in the play to be able to present well-organized lessons. They also would help a reader review the play and remember many of the more important parts.
