Great read. I love this character. Will Robie is an assassin for the government, still reeling from things gone wrong on his last mission. He's sent after someone else in this story, and finds that things aren't always what they seem as he gets deeper into the hunt. Dealing with multiple security and agency directors in the US government, he realizes he can't trust everyone he thought he could. I love how he wrestles with "being human" vs. "being a machine", as he puts it. The characters in this book are strong, and the plot was suspenseful and kept my attention throughout. Lots of twists and turns, but most of them seemed pretty realistic.

Bon, 't is een onderhoudende en goed geschreven format. Niet het beste werk van Baldacci, maar het laat zich gewillig lezen.

This is another fast paced novel by David Baldacci. I enjoy his writing style. I like his characters and the story line. I will probably read it again in the future.

As enjoyable as the first in the series.

Will Robie is back, and upon his returns he delivers pretty much the same we got in the previous book, unadulterated fun. Whenever I grab a book by Baldacci my expectation is to be entertained with a fast-paced read. I know I won't get masterful writing, and I know there will probably be some unbelievable situations and twisted plot lines. I am happy to say that the author delivered once again, so as long as you know what you are getting you are highly likely to end up like me, a happy camper.

I enjoyed the fact that the author decided to bring back two engaging characters from the previous novel, Julie and Vance. These two allow Baldacci to explore the psyche of Robie and therefore are valuable in the plot. The basic story-line this time revolves around a rogue female agent. She is one of the best assassins the government employs and has worked with Robie in the past, so when he is chosen to take her down, things heat up quickly.

I recommend this series to those looking an easy read that keeps you glued to the pages. I am already looking forward to the next one in the series.

I like reading these "popcorn" books to break some of the tougher or longer reads up. Pretty standard action book, enjoyed it enough.
