I loved the relationship between Mayce and Quintessa including the submission, the emotion, the acceptance, the strive to find the strength in oneself.

Obsessed

The first 2 books drew me in but this book had me ready to submit right along with our beloved Queen. Mayce now holds my heart, but I have a strong feeling that the next book will peak my obsession with this absolutely amazing series! I can’t wait to dive in!

The character was built up has the sweet sensitive caring easy going one of the gods. And. . . Spoilers maybe

The god became jealous to an ick level. The god still has memento of an ex and it’s the sexting erotic letters and is mad at the fmc for finding them. If it’s over why? Why are they punishing her for her very real and rightful expression. They got caught with their very personal very much attached love letters. And think bedding the fmc into submission is the way to go. I’m sorry, this just disappointed me.

3rd installment of the series and it continues to not disappoint. It was Mayce's turn with Quintessa. DADDY MAYCE!!!! Swoom…. Seriously. Complete submission required.

Each Monstrous boy gives her strength. After breaking and ending 2 curses you would think the 3rd would be easy. But think again! Quintessa must grow even more (internally and externally) in order to save Mayce. And not just from the curse but from his evil former lover.

Emily again did an amazing job at creating an amazing and complex world full of intrigue, drama, and spice! She also keeps throwing in Qora's story in there. Which has me hooked and I can't wait to see what happens with her.

Next up is Marikh, who has always been my favorite (I am naturally a dark soul) and I am salivating for what he will bring to the table.

As the god of fae Mayce has a connection with earth itself and an ability to create nature, maybe this is why he is the first one that wants to know Quintessa down to her roots and then help her grow into a beautiful flower by overcoming her insecurities and realising her own worth. The way he does this is by making her submit to him. The way he does this is not very gentle though and instead makes him earn his nickname, Daddy Mayce.

I swear, this series just keeps getting better and I'm a little scared of reading the last one, both because I don't want it to end and because it will be focused on Merikh and all that that entails.

Be sure to check the trigger warnings before you read though because it’s definitely not for everyone, especially since Quintessa loves to feel everything, both pleasure and pain.

I got the arc version of The Sacrifice from author Emily Shore in return for an honest review.

Ok, this is my new favorite. It was so good I couldn't put it down. Omg, the ending had me crying and laughing at the same time. I can't wait to see what happens next. One of my top reads

The 3rd installment of this series went deeper into the connection/relationship she has with her RH. The focus was on Mayce's court and his curse. As usual, her world building and character development are great. I really loved the tree connection. That felt special and unique from other fae romtansies I've read. I liked how they went through more layers with Tessa to build her up. I love her own self realization and moment of power.

The spice is on par with the other books. It also had dom/sub and of course Mayce's favorite body part was well loved here. I'm not a huge fan of pregnancy tropes, but I thought it was done well. I loved how the guys all want to be a dad, which is wonderful and not common.

If this is the first one you see and are reading the reviews to see to read. Highly recommend to start at book 1, The Sacrifice, as these books build on one another.

Mind your TW. Very spicy. Would recommend.
