Mackenzie Bishop, ein "Keeper" im Archiv der Untoten, wird seit ihrer Begegnung mit Ownen von gefährlichen Albträumen verfolgt, in denen sie sich selbst verletzt. Nicht nur ihre Eltern auch die Verantwortlichen im Archiv machen sich Sorgen umd ihren geistigen Zustand und beobachten sie mit Adleraugen. Doch Mackenzie kann es nicht riskieren, alles zu verlieren und stellt sich ihren Ängsten. Bis plötzlich Menschen verschwinden, die kurz zuvor mit ihr Kontakt hatten...

Anfangs war ich bei diesem zweiten Band etwas skeptisch, weil nicht klar war, in welche Richtung sich die Geschichte entwickeln würde, ob es einen Zusammenhang - außer dem Setting - zum ersten Buch geben oder ob es eine eigenständige Story sein würde. Doch so nach und nach fielen die Puzzleteile zusammen und die Richtung kristallisierte sich heraus.

Zwar erfährt man auch hier nicht viel über den Hintergrund dieser außergewöhnlichen Welt, doch die Figuren und der gut gewebte Spannungsbogen haben mich ein weiteres Mal in den Bann gezogen.
Eine wirklich gelungene Fortsetzung, die damit leider ihr Ende gefunden hat.

I can't really say whether or not this was better than the first one. Mackenzie was just as idiotic in this book. The love triangle made me roll my eyes; it was obvious who she was going to end up with, so why bother? I really thought this book didn't need a stereotypical love plot. However, I was not looking forward to the whole "high school" background plot, but it wasn't that bad. I thought the story was a little slow, especially in the beginning and middle, but the end picked up nicely. The ending is what really gave it a 3.5 instead of a 3. I might read the third book if I feel like it (I would have to wait until I come home from college next May). I just really hope that Mackenzie doesn't get away with everything like she has in the past two books. Seriously, it is like she never has consequences to her actions. Everything is magically solved; she gets away with murder every two chapters. It just doesn't seem realistic.

Okay so this was...INCREDIBLE! I couldn't even gather my thoughts enough last night, when I finished it, to write them down. my favourite scenes were any that contained Wesley. Who has by the way made it to my top three list of fictional boyfriends, right after Caleb Rivers and Adrian Ivashkov.I wish that the information about the third book in this series wouldn't be so vague because I neeeeed it in my life!

A ver, entendí todo el maldito libro, pase las páginas para que tuviera una solución o algo ¿y me das ese final, Victoria Schwab? ¿Cómo debo esperar un tercer libro que no tiene fecha de publicación siquiera?
O sea, quiero saber que le va a pasar a la prota, tengo un monton de dudas, principalmente esta:
