I didn’t like the style of this book, written in quotes and testimonials. It allowed me to read through it quickly but it’s not my favorite type of story telling.

Not the most uplifting book but timely and important, nonetheless. Written in a unique interview style with real-life quotes and stats interwoven throughout, which I found effective.
Quotes:
"I'm not sure which he thought was cooler: the fact that he found the information, or the fact that he found it in the library." page 103
"They brought drinks and snacks for themselves. And flashlights." page 121

Lots of potential. Great plot and interesting delivery but weird slang like "Dillon" was annoying and ending was disappointing.

A really quick but heavy read. Not sure I'd be able to differentiate it from other school shooting fiction works.

Terribly real. I had to read it in small chunks.
Every one of us is a victim of gun violence. Every time we see it or hear it, and we feel powerless to stop it.
We must do better. For our children, for ourselves, and for our country which is losing its soul.
