All the children in my preschool circle time were very excited for this story and enjoyed identifying different machines that work on a construction site! They enjoyed saying “goodnight” at the end of each trucks section. Good circle time book!

Beau loved this book! He named all of the construction vehicles and loved jumping in on the parts that repeated and rhymed.

All of the trucks at the construction site work hard during the day. At night, they turn off their engines, take their baths and dream sweet dreams. Children will enjoy the anthropomorphic trucks, the fun sounds that they make and learning vocabulary about different kinds of trucks. The book could also be used to promote phonological awareness.

Love the rhymes and the onomatopoeia. Love the cute details like bulldozer holding a teddy bear or a little blanket on sleeping cement truck. My two-year-old is obsessed with pointing out the moon every time it appears.

Who knew I'd ever feel such affection for a bulldozer? Need to teach personification? Here's your book.

My daughter loves this book. The pictures are great, the writing is great and the descriptions of the trucks are great. It also had a calm cadence so it's a good book to read at bedtime.

"Down in the big construction site, tough trucks work with all their might. But now it's time to say goodnight! Even th roughest, toughest readers will want to turn off their engines, rest their wheels, and drift to sleep with this sweet and soothing story. Goodnight, construction site!"
