Knowing this was the last book I really tried to savor it. This one had my heart breaking so much. This entire series has been a joy to read, and Im so sad its ending.

This fascinating Fantasy Romance is Book 4, in the Blood Of A Fae Series.
The romance is this book is pre established from the previous books, and full of utter devotion towards one another.
The book does have several spicy scenes that are written intimately. Although there isnt a ton of spice, there is enough to keep you satisfied. The books plot really takes the focus of the book.
The book moves at a quick pace following the MCs as they travel to battle their enemy, and hopefully defeat them. The journey is full of battles, losses, found family, and self discovery.
The characters are amazing just as they are in the previous books. There are a few characters that have been in the shadows, as well as some very important new characters introduced.
The world building remains beautifully complex while adding in some new additions as the FMC learns more about who she really is.

Tw: suicidal thoughts

Well this was a good ending to this series. I’m relieved that it is over. This was the fourth and final book in the series. A series that I have been enjoying very much. I read the 3rd book around 6 months ago.

I found the beginning of the book a little bit hard to get into after a break between books. Without rereading the third book, I was a little, lost, and trying to remember what happened. And it took quite a while to get to any kind of recap until 10%. And there was a weird moment of braking the fourth wall at the end of chapter 4. It brought me completely out of the story and didn’t sit right with the rest of the narrative in the blatant foreshadowing.

The rest of the. Ok was decent. Not amazing, not terrible. But I’m glad I do t have it on my TBR anymore. The loose ends were tied up fairly easily. There weren’t many more twists. Everything was fairly well foreshadowed.

Thank you NetGallet and. For the eARC. All opinions are my own.

I am almost sad for this series to be done... this last one really tore at my heart. I still loved it of course, but dang I was so invested in all the lives. Odessa, Hawley, Draven, Morgan... all of them.
I never felt lost. I could picture the scenery and everything. So wonderfully written that I was just so easy to see as a "movie in my head" as I was reading.

I really enjoyed the premise of this series but felt this was a lack luster finish. The story was good but it all felt quite rushed. Especially in the final showdown I felt that there was a lot of mental catch up to get to the same point as Morgan (or maybe I missed things, who knows) and the final standoff/battle was a bit of a let down.
And poor Medra. She feels like she was created by her mother to fulfil a prophecy and it's true. I felt like this character was just introduced to be a tool at the end. There was no real character development. I didn't feel like I knew her and the rapid aging just felt weird and forced. Like the author go to the end of book 3 and didn't know how she was going to have Perun defeated with Morgan getting a happy ending so she just created Medra to wrap everything in a bow.

Overall this was a really enjoyable series.

Firstly thank you to the author and her team for sending me arcs of this series. It’s been such a pleasure to read Morgan and Kairos’s story 💖

With that said - wow. What a spectacular way to wrap up the series. This book gave me all of the feels. I absolutely loved that book one started off with a quest to find an object and in this book Morgan and Kairos are on a quest to find themselves (literally). This author and this book specifically writes about some very hard topics like grief and mental illness extremely well.

I will forever refer to this series as ACTOR but more adult and spicier.

Favorite quotes:

Morgan - “I see forever with you by my side. Because long after these scars have faded away to nothing, I’ll still be standing beside you. You and I? We’re eternal.”

Kairos - “Families aren’t meant to be perfect, Morgan. Anyone who ever claims to have a perfect family is lying. Have you seen mortal families? They squabble and hit and lie and...”

Morgan - “Love, the one force in the universe that no one could ever fully explain. Love, the candle in the dark that led us through the night and softened all our sorrows. Without love, life was a starved and empty thing, for there was no hope, no joy without it.”
