I love this story! To be honest, I almost DNF-ed this because the loathing-each-other stage was too much for me. But it picked up eventually and went great from that point onwards. I read the mixtape first and loved it so I read this one. I liked how Yara and Alejandro were opposites. In the beginning, I was like, “Damn, she's so nice, so wtf is this grumpy guy walking all over her?” I was so mad. Hahaha! But yeah, there are a lot of interesting characters here. Cole got what he deserved in the end and it made me so happy because karma's a bitch. Goldie and Mr. Black, you both will be with me for life. Teresa and Yara’s dad were a delight. Yara’s sisters were interesting, too and I can’t wait to read their stories. I understood Cole’s mom, but her thinking was disgusting and that kind of parenting would make a criminal like Cole. Oh, the pop culture references like Peter Parker or Lewis Capaldi’s Wish You the Best MV was fun! Thank you, Brittany, for this book. 💖✨
