Let me start by saying that I rather enjoyed this book. 3 stars for me usually means it was enjoyable but wasn't life-changing or memorable and I likely will never feel the need to read it again or anything associated with the couple.
That being said, here are the positives:
1. Once past the 20-30% mark, you can practically breeze through it, or at least, that's what I did.
2. I liked the couple and rooted for them. I loved their chemistry and pace towards actually being together.
3. Acyn - he was an incredible hero. Not exactly my type but a good man, Savannah.
4. The side characters were great.
Yes, I've got to get the negatives:
1. The writing style wasn't for me. I don't know if it was all the talk about social media but I just felt that the author was more heavy handed than I prefer when it came to slang, using social media as a plot device and making even the protagonists' thoughts a little too conversational and casual.
2. The miscommunication about the kiss was pointless especially because they did not actually solve it or talk about it much. It felt very unnecessary.
3. I get that Harlow and Hendrix were incompatible and he was self-centred and selfish. They could have broken up solely for those two reasons. All the extra drama regarding Hendrix I felt was just added so that we would hate him and love Acyn. It was unnecessary. Acyn was pretty darn lovable on his own merits.
4. I didn't really connect to either protagonist but especially Harlow. I didn't actually finish the book thinking she was a changed person. I finished it thinking she was still somewhat a pushover and quite fickle. Her friends convinced her to take a job and move, both things she swore she was passionate about but she also ended up quitting what brought her. It's okay to change your mind but at times it felt like her mind was other people's minds? She'd only ever realise something when someone else told her.
5. I also did cringe a lot towards the end but I guess that's just a me thing.
In conclusion, I did enjoy it but as much as I would have loved it to, it just did not make a lasting impression.

This was a refreshing read but too much of a slow burn that I almost couldn't finish. Overall, I enjoyed the book. Loved the characters :)

I had high expectations for this book but I didn’t like it at all. the author was dragging the story, it is supposed to be a slow burn but at the same it felt rushed.
i also felt that we never got to know the characters well. another thing that threw me off was that the fmc was supposed to be someone that is "always happy" but it annoyed me that every page it would something like "she starts cracking up" "i am laughing so hard"... like i get it you can be happy or whatever but she would be laughing for things that weren't funny at all. For example, she would start dying of laughter just because a friend asker how her bussiness is going !? doesn't make sense at all.
anyways it was underwhelming, 2 stars because i am feeling good.
