I loved this book. I laughed through Rose’s escapades with the Henryetta PD and her entire jury duty experience! DGS paints such vivid characters. I especially enjoyed meeting Neely Kate and the friendship she and Rose begin in this second book of the series.

To me, Twenty-Nine and a half Reasons was somewhat of a better book than the first one. Granted, when I first finished reading Twenty-Nine I said to myself that the first one was better but after some thought I realized that each book is great in its own way.
I loved Twenty-Nine and a Half Reasons because of the love triangle that Rose has to deal with. Ok, so it’s not really a love triangle but we get to meet Mason Deveraux, a crabby, assistant DA that’s working on the case that Rose just happens to be a juror for. You can tell Mason is starting to more than like her and you can see Rose care about Mason a little, but then that’s when Joe, the boyfriend says he loves her more than life itself and wants her to move to Little Rock. At the same time, her older sister Violet is having what looks like a mid life crisis and breaks up with her husband , Rose is torn between Joe and Violet since Violet thinks she is settling for the first man she has had a relationship with.
While Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes deals with Rose’s momma’s murder, Twenty-Nine and a Half Reasons has Rose trying to get an innocent man off trial for a murder he didn’t commit
The next book Thirty and a Half Excuses is sure to deal more in depth with Violet and Mike as well as what’s happening between Mason, Rose, and Joe. I can’t wait.

Another brilliant book from Denise Grover Swank. Rose and her visions provide so much intrigue and entertainment, and I love how much her confidence blossoms. This book is filled with mystery too as secrets emerge from both the case under investigation and from some of the main characters. And I absolutely love the addition of Neely Kate, who is one of my favourite characters. I have read this book and the entire series multiple times, since I bought them in 2016 and I still end up reading far longer than I intend to. I just can’t stop turning the pages!

4 1/2 future seeing stars.
Oh how I love Rose Anne Gardner. And Mrs. Swank does an amazing job with the suspense, the humor, the romance, everything. There was a portion of the book where it seemed to slow down a bit, but it definitely picked up!! I'm fixing to move onto book 3 and see what kind of mess Rose gets herself into. Well crappy doodles.

Just as good as the first one. Couldn't put it down and moved on to #3 tonight! So glad there are a few more left in the series to read.

I loved Twenty Eight and a Half Reasons so as soon as I finished reading it, I instantly downloaded this one. Unfortunately, this one didn't gave quite the suspense of the other. I wish there would have been some deeper character development (especially for Violet) and it seems that the story of Rose getting into trouble and someone saving her is getting recycled a bit. Not a bad read, just somewhat of a let down after a great first book in the series.
