Absolute masterpiece this. A collection of poems and conversations from inside the author's flat during England's first lockdown. Bizarre yet mundane, surreal yet utterly relatable. Hilarious and touching. I don't really want to say too much, as it's a unique book and best discovered without knowing much about it. But suffice to say, if you lived through lockdown you will be able to relate to it, and if you have any sense of humour you will laugh at it.

I really loved this, Key manages to find the perfect line between funny and emotional when dealing with the lockdown. My personal favourite poem was page 189’s ‘Guilty as Charged’. The use of poems and dialogues together was a strong structural decision for moving the plot along whilst also giving the poems room to speak for themselves. I thought it was so creative to read a book about writing that book. If you’re wanting something unique, this is an excellent place to find it.
