I did not expect to love this book. The first quarter was a slog for me. But something clicked once the new storyline was introduced and I became hooked. There are some beautiful lines of poetic literature in these pages, but also some deeply complex, human characters handling immensely complicated emotions and relationships. Abe is the ultimate dad 🫶🏼

Slow start which then made the end feel rushed. Really liked the guys relationship.

I almost put this book down when the beginning was slow but it really grew on me. I mean magic books! But also the characters and the mysteries were well done

A fantastic magical thriller that I couldn’t put down! More twists and turns than a twisty turny thing, and it all came together so beautifully at the end. Despite all that, it’s also a cozy story about family and connection. Delightful!

A fun read. Very easy to listen to. It over-explains itself quite a bit which affected the mystery/suspense aspect. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.
