I finally got my hands on a copy after loving the movie and musical. I enjoyed it, even though it did have some parts that didn't seem needed. There was more about the classes than I thought it would be. It did seem a bit odd how long it took for Elle to finally realize she didn't need Warner. But overall I still enjoy the blonde who stunned everyone with what she could do.

Very different than the movie! I liked it but it wasn't great. I hated that Elle never got serious about her classes. She didn't hit that "I am proving them all wrong" mind set. & chases after Warner through the whole book! Hes even worse in the book than in the movie too. For the first time ever, I think I have to say I prefer the movie. Maybe it's just because I love Reese so much?

A case where the movie was *better* than the book.

Considering I'm a huge fan of the movie adaptation and sequel, I was expecting to enjoy this book. But it was incredibly boring. Is it really described as a hilarious novel? Who ever wrote that should be fired. I enjoyed maybe the first quarter of the book, although I did find the writing to be non-engaging. However from that point on it was a total yawner. The ending was rushed, there were heaps of character that were introduced in a way that I never remembered who they were later in the book, there was hardly any character development that was positive. By the last third of the book I was just wanting it to end. It really didn't feel like the Elle I know and love. Wouldn't recommend wasting your time.
