I bought a copy of this second-hand at a San Francisco flea market when I was visiting my brother last year (2015). I was actually born in Southern California but we moved in 1988 and I hadn't been back since. This book uses novel excerpts, vintage postcards, poetry, historical information, and recipes to provide a diverse overview of California and its people. It was really a nice reintroduction to my native state.

This cute book of pregnancy anecdotes and stories was a gift from my mom when I announced my pregnancy. I've really enjoyed it!
