Middle ones are always hard for me- we got a lot of new information, but we also have a massive cliffhanger. I'm enjoying the development of Toph's storyline- though I'm hoping to see some growth on her end as well. I love the tie-in environmentally. There's a lot going on in this story- I'm hoping I will be able to keep it all straight.
I also can't quite remember what the break with Roku was which is driving me nuts.

remember how I said in my the search reviews that I actually liked the way they dealt with the spirits and the spirit world side of things??? I take that back. sort of. to me at least, the spirits introduced here didn't feel as morally ambiguous as the ones in the original series and the search, but I guess when tlok book 2 exists, it could've been a lot worse. speaking of which, why does it feel like the creators forgot how their own world operates? why is it that aang's connection to the past avatars and to his own spirituality is determined by these random meditation beads he only obtained at the end of book 3 of the original series? what was the reason for that? and how does that work given korra's struggles with spirituality and her own connections to the past avatars in tlok? did the creators even watch their own show? what is going on?
