I was unsure how I was feeling in the first one, but the second book of this trilogy has won me over. This was so good to me, I am a sucker for a political battle and this was such a good one. I thought I would feel weird with
Kelsier being gone
but the other characters really make up for it in their own stores. Plus, the growth Elend gets is amazing. Rin was a little annoying in this but due to the betrayal she faced I’ll let it go. Ugh just such a good read to me!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 69% through the book and holy shit it's been such a drag the pacing is terribly slow, so far it feels like nothing is really happening and the threats the main characters are facing don't feel real.

Vin is very unlikeable in this book, how did someone with a deep seated trust-issues like her become so gullible against an enemy?

Might finish this book cause sunk cost fallacy but so far this book is no higher than a 3 stars.

edit:

well, I have to say I'm glad that i didnt drop the book, although things didnt have to wait till 75% of the book to start picking up it was still a decent read - save for the painful plot about vin's unnecessary hesitation about someone.
