It was living up to it's heritage, even surprising me in the middle with a wonderfully fresh set of characters and setting, but then something happened to the writing in the last third; almost as if someone else finished the book, and they left a few cut-and-pastes by mistake.

(rated 3.5 stars) This book proved to be better than I originally thought it was going to be. I was fairly intrigued through the novel, though it could use a touch more editing to cut unneeded prose and to trim scenes that do nothing for the story. Having never read anything by this author before, I can honestly say that I think I might check out more of his works if I ever get the opportunity and am in the mood for something along the lines of th types of novels he writes.

I really enjoyed this trilogy, all the inside info in spycraft (is that a word?) anyway the ending left me almost wishing I hadn’t invested the time in reading these three books, but I get it.
