I flew through this book! The author does a superb job balancing the history of the Student Volunteer Movement with the missionary movements today. He uses a lot of primary documents to inform about the people and movement. The author also has a strong grasp of the struggles & thought processes of students today. He spends the majority of the book discussing what we can take from the SVM to today and what would no longer apply.
