sometimes you pick up the right book at the right time. it was truly healing to listen to this book. this felt like listening to a friend infodump on their niche topic of interest while also realizing you’re both absolutely going through it.
i’m convinced that to deal with the mess of my early thirties, i gotta find my own ‘eat pray love’ journey and maybe it’s not listening to every 2016 album release, but i’ll figure it out. either way, this will definitely shape my playlist for the foreseeable future.

reading the reviews here is so funny because some readers got bored by the music recs while others got bored by acasters personal stories. for me it was a delightful mix and the narration had an incredible common theme, connecting the musicians lives with his his own. i‘d recommend the audiobook because it feels almost like a routine with some very detailed yapping about music in between (i <3 it)
