*spoilers for the backstory of one of the characters*

I'm really disappointed about the Puri-Puri prisoner backstory. I watched the anime and loved this character. He was portrayed as an incredibly strong gay super hero. GREAT! Only to find out in the manga, he runs a prison because all the inmates are afraid of being kissed by him. He willingly goes to prison so he can kiss all of them. In this way he can pursue men and punish criminals at the same time (??!?!?!?!). Implying that he can't have a consensual relationship... or doesn't want to? Appearently they still had to make the only gay character a villain even though he is (in theory) a hero... so disappointing.

The sad part is that I really love this story (from what I've seen in the anime) and the art is amazing. I really enjoyed this volume up until I got to this part of Puri-Puri prisoners backstory.

AND I have also pre-bought up until volume 14 because I knew I liked the anime... sooooo... that's where I'm at.

The art was so good and the story more engaging I wanted to bump it up a star, but the information the anime left out on PuriPuri Prisoner was bad enough I bumped it back down.

This series is just too much fun. <3
