I am very intrigued by the concept of this story, however it needed a bit more polish prior to publishing, for example: "powered milk" instead of "powdered milk," and "Bandy" instead of "Brandy." Some of the plot was also confusing, when Eden was mentioned, was that a human colony on another planet, a colony elsewhere on Earth, or somewhere else entirely? When did the Relics stop there prior to finding the FMC? So I wanted to power through, but like I said, the book just needs a bit more editing.

they learn to live and love again

This was my favorite book from Ms. Woods! I am hoping for more books in this spin off series. The relics are so sweet and honest. I love looking at the world through their eyes and seeing them learn to live again.

An expressive King

5 Stars because it’s my review and I really enjoy this read.

First, I know his name is Ja’Ivan but I just want y’all to know that I’ve been calling this man Jovon this whole book because in my head he black too. I love him! He’s such a great leader and they way he loves Brandy, he had no problem telling her how he felt. We love an expressive King.

One of my favorites parts: “You are the only one who is allowed to see the real me. I look forward to the time when we are alone, and I am no longer a clan leader but your man.” Okay Jovan!!!

Black Science Fiction is my favorite and this book didn’t disappoint. Brandy was brave, fearless, and she loved her people both Human and Relic. I STAN a strong heroine
