First in a series. Klawde has come to Earth from outer space and he is bitter about it. He wants to train neighborhood kittens as his soldiers and become a warlord again. This is a cute, quick read with lots of humor in it. I borrowed the book from the school library.

This is definitely my favorite middle grade! When Klawde is exhiled from his planet, he is forced to make a home on earth. Klawde then meets Raj, who is new in town and has always wanted a cat. This leads to a hilarious adventure that any fan of middle grade would not want to miss!

Love this for elementary students. It’s too mature for my kindergartners. However, it makes me *kind of* wish I taught second or third grade again. I am sure they would be in fits of giggles if this was our read-aloud!

A hilarious combo of two adventures in one book. Featuring Wyss-Kuzz aka Klawde, an evil alien warlord cat exiled to Earth, and Raj, a city boy thrown into the wilderness of Elba, Oregon and forced to partake in the horrors of making new friends and surviving nature at Camp Eclipse. The two come together to figure out their new surroundings and make the best of their situations.
A great first book in the series that immediately pulls you in with space travel, cat society, and alien warlords combined with the more relatable human aspects of having to move to a new place. I especially enjoyed Klawde's chapters. Marciano and Chenoweth really captured the essence of the feline mind. Always scheming, ready with hilarious quips, and full of humorous insight into human appearance, behavior, and social structure, Klawde is the villain you can't help loving.
