Wow. This book took me on an incredible adventure and made me feel like I haven’t felt while reading a book in a long time. When I’d have to put the book down to participate in actual life, I’d find myself recounting parts of the book I’d read while smiling to myself. This book made me happy, excited, sad, angry, and damn near BROKE MY HEART and then filled it with hope. It’s one of those books that you want to just envelop in a huge hug.

I don’t even know where to start…do you want a book that keeps you guessing? A book where the gender rolls in society are switched? Read this book. I can usually figure out one or two things that will happen by the end of a book. Zero, I didn’t guess any of these. My mouth was hanging so far open and for so long a spider had enough time to create her web and catch a couple flies.

The banter? Loved it, amazing. The main characters were great but the side characters gave this book so much more. I wanted to love someone, then I hated them, then I loved them, nope back to hating them.

I love when a book “breaks the fourth wall” if you call in that in a book. The back and forth between modern times and a mythical world where they don’t even have books was fantastic.

This book 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥be read as a stand alone, and I really thought that’s where it was going. I’m so glad it’s not though and I will literally be thinking about this book everyday until the next one comes out.
