This book was a delight! I've never read any other books by Suzanne Enoch and unabashedly admit that I picked this up almost entirely on the virtue of the title and cover. I freely admit to being a sucker for Highlanders in anything and romance novels are no exception. So I expected to like the hero. Niall MacTaggert certainly didn't leave me disappointed.
I am not sure I expected how much I would love the heroine. Amelia-Rose was so very enjoyable. Strong willed but still vulnerable, caught between what she wanted and what was expected of her. She was an utterly believable character to me and a very likeable one.
I have to leave a little space for the side characters here. There were so many of them that I loved. The entirety of the hero's family were enjoyable to read, not only his two brothers (whom I very much hope will star in their own romances later) but his little sister as well. I wasn't certain what I thought of his mother at first given her choices at the beginning but she too grew on me a bit against my will.
There was a lot here that ticked some of my particular buttons: A romance plot that hinged more on outside factors than some overblown misunderstanding. Amusing dialogue. The inevitable bits of culture clash. Cute nicknames.
My reading has been a bit slower these last weeks so it took me a bit longer to finish this one than usual, but though my reading time was limited I found myself eagerly snatching this one up whenever I got a chance, and I am certain I lost at least a -little- sleep in favor of reading it.
All in all this book was an enjoyable experience. Highlanders in London, a sweet and touching romance. Just exactly what I needed to read right now. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more books in this series, and perhaps a few other series by this author as well.

I received a free ARC through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Oh boy! I absolutely loved IT’S GETTING SCOT IN HERE! Niall and Amelia-Rose were perfect! I loved them both so much and I loved them together even more! I loved how dramatic this story was, how swoony it was, and I absolutely adored all of the romance!!! It was soooooooo good!!! I can’t wait to see Niall’s brother, Coll and Aden, find love too!

Full review to come!

I completely fell in love with the leads in this book. Niall MacTaggert. Yes, another new book boyfriend. He's little wild, a little messy, but caring and level-headed when you need him to be. Lady Amelia-Rose is this strong woman who just doesn't fit into "proper" English society, and I love her that much more for it. Their character development was great, and getting to know them both was so much fun.

If you've read some of my reviews before, you may know I'm a sucker for families in romance series, and this is no exception. The family dynamics of the MacTaggert's are pretty nutty, but I think it's going to make for an amazing series. I cannot wait to find out about the other two brothers, and see the relationship they build with their mother and sister!

This is just a fun romp through messy relationships, bargains, English ladies, and sexy Scottish men. While you'll definitely feel the emotions, you will also have quite a few good laughs along the way. I'd definitely recommend this one to my fellow romance readers.

Thank you so much to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!

Thank goodness for romances where people talk to each other and have logical, adult decision making skills! Highly enjoyed this one. Loved Niall immensely. Also highly appreciative of a romance that spends most of its time giving us interactions between the couple and not wasting it on exterior plot points or characters.

This book is amazing and was a really pleasant reading experience.
It's entertaining, fun to read and you're hooked till the last page.
The start is wonderful, so full of humour and so tongue in cheek, it made me love this book since the first pages.
I appreciated the female characters, so strong willed and anti conformist, and I love the evolution of Amelia Rose, the train of thought that made her understand what she really wanted.
I think I could have a new book boyfriend in Niall, another Highlander that could be defined the king of men.
The entire cast of characters is well written and fleshed out, you cannot help rooting for the brothers and the young couple in love.
I loved the romance as much as I liked the family, friendship and growing-up themes.
I look forward to reading the next installment in this series and will surely read other books by Ms Enoch.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for this ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book, all opinions are mine.

What a FABULOUS way to start this new series! Sexy highlanders are a bit hit in my eyes. And these men definitely had my heart squishing. They don’t wanna be there but in order to save their home they must find wives that their mother approves of. It was so sweet to see them slowly grow closer to the mom who abandoned them when they were younger. Forgiveness and family is the theme here. I am definitely going to continue with this series.

I received an arc and this is my honest review.

For the kind of book this was, it sure took me a long time to slog through it. The worst part was having that stupid Nelly song stuck in my brain.

I can't believe I forgot to write a review for this book until now!

Love love LOVED this story. It was cracking me up from the first chapter, and it only got better from there! While at times the thoughts of the Mom felt a little forced, you saw more reasoning behind them as the story developed and I was rooting for all her sons to fully embrace her by the end of the book.

As for the main characters - I was here. for. it. Niall loved how fierce and independent Amelia-Rose (or Amy) was, and how much he encouraged her at each turn. No spoilers, but I also appreciated how there were choices to make and differences to work with in this story and it wasn't simply glossed over - the characters really worked THROUGH them, not just around them.

I cannot emphasize how much this book made me laugh! Witty banter gets me every time and I am now anxiously awaiting the rest of the series! Highly recommend!

“Scot” is an absolutely delightful romp.
The Countess of Aldriss, long separated from her husband and sons, has a scheme to bring her boys back. A long-buried clause in her separation agreement has her sons on her London doorstep reluctantly agreeing to find English brides. All does not work out as she plans, but to her delight, her brawny boys are back in her life, and who knows what will happen as the series progresses.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
