This book is full of practical, realistic, life-improving tips and tricks. A must-read for twenty-somethings and anyone else who doesn't quite feel like an adult. Also, her mashed potatoes recipe is delicious!

Although it took me a while to finish this book I did enjoy it for practicality if nothing else. Everything in the book was useful and the author was laugh out loud funny. It's a book I think every young adult from college age to thirty should read. There are things I would have never thought about and things I knew but a Brown shed a new light on. My only issue with this book was a rather large one for me. It focused on people who are out of collage and just getting on their feet. This is assuming the reader went to college. As someone who was unable to finish college and does not have a degree the book was less helpful to me in some parts. I think there should have been more tailored to people who did not choose the college route.

There is a lot of practical advice I wish I had had ten years ago. 3.5 stars is probably more accurate, but I enjoyed the book, it was organized well, and it was amusing, so 4 stars it is! Like any advice, it is fair to take the dispensed knowledge with a grain of salt.

I mean clearly written for 20 somethings so was debating sharing with younger siblings.... but already feels a little dated and also like something that is better as just... blog posts? Short essays? I probably should have made this a did not finish but the format did at least make it an easy read so there’s that to recommend it... and The drawings were super cute. That’s about it.

I skimmed this one, mostly because I like to think of myself as a little more put-together. But I thought the tips were helpful and written in a relatable style for someone who is seeking this advice in their lives.

Brilliant!! I wish I could give it a million stars. So much in this book was incredibly helpful and insightful. Just because something seems obvious doesn't mean it is. Kelly Williams Brown lays it all out there. If you think you may want to be a grown up you should read this book.

For someone a bit older than the author, who is in her 20s, there are a number of parts that I just skimmed through. I’ve learned those lessons already. But I enjoyed some of the humor, sketches, and the reminders, and I did learn a few new things. I was leaning toward 3 stars but I give it that extra star for giving me a few pointers on things I didn’t know.

Most of her advice is to-the-point and helpful. Such as her emphasis on the importance of thank-you notes. Other pieces of advice are not so charming and seems a little condescending. But I enjoyed the read over all.

for a humorous book it wasn't that funny, but for clueless 20-somethings this could be handy.
