This book captures the revolution so well. Hozar separates her personal feelings from what happened in Iran pre, during and post revolution. She tries to present an objective view on the historical changes in the country.
There are different narrators in the story and sometimes it might become hard to understand who is talking, but there are hints that can help.
The book itself is written so well. Even thought it is a large book (abound 450 pages), not one word is wasted. The description are so well written that anyone can understand the culture and experience the 60s and 70s with the protagonist in Tehran.
I loved this book so much I will surely reread it.
