Clare recommended this book to me while in Punta Cana but honestly it was quite boring, didn’t pick up until the end.

such conflicting thoughts because this book was undeniably one of the best canadian/cultural reads that i’ve ever read, but i didn’t love the length. additionally it was kind of historically inaccurate lol so that definitely isn’t something to be proud of.

such a beautiful story about the innate human need to belong.
