This is not going to be for everyone. It’s saccharine and predictable and is pretty much the most implausible romance I’ve read. However, I read it in only a few hours, and it was a good palate cleanser as a friend once described another book. Just what I needed during the crazy holiday season.

This is a cute little Christmas story with just a dash of mystery.

I had high hopes for this book. The summary sounded so intriguing and I was looking for a festive book to listen to as I am prepping for Christmas. But this was a disappointment. It had a great start, and the FBI part kept me listening (audiobook) until the end, but that was a big letdown, there was no real reason why they were pulling out all the stops to find her except that one of the agents had a “mental breakdown.” Whaaaaat?

Also, Ash and Dash’s relationship felt so phony and contrived. I kept asking myself, why is she so into this guy? He’s rude to her!

I didn’t get it. Interesting, but I wouldn’t recommend it. I did like one of Debbie Macomber’s other books A LOT and I like how she bases them in Washington, so I hope to find some other stronger books of hers.

The premise is so fun! I'm not sure if I missed it in the description, but the terrorist plot came as a delightful surprise for me. I was not aware that was coming and enjoyed it a lot.

It was chaotic in the best way, but a little too cheesy at parts in a dated way.

This was a fun romp through Macomber's world. The premise was a little different than most of her books, but it was fun.

Quick easy read and totally cheesy but cute. Will be watching Hallmark video with book club.

A cute, sweet, fun Christmassy read--although I think I liked the movie a little better ;)

3 Stars. This one isn't a favorite. I like Ashley and Dash. However, I found the old man to be weird, and don't think aliens, should have been the talk. I simply don't care about the old man having a 'marriage" with an alien
