This is a tidy mystery! I really enjoyed the overlapping stories and POV changes. It reads quickly and the ending comes together nicely.

Kerry Greenwood’s sumptuous descriptions of food, drink, setting, and fashion always makes for splendid reading. There’s mysteries big and small around every corner of this book, that are all wrapped up satisfactorily in the end. 21 books into the series, and Greenwood hasn’t missed a step.

Didn’t want to start because then I’d finish and o wouldn’t have a new Phryne to read. But I did start and now I’ve finished. Lots of interesting new characters, though I think I got my surly drunks mixed up a few times. Tinker and the girls have gumption. Makes me want to go to Hepburn Springs now we are out of lockdown. Though I did miss the historical glimpses of lost Melbourne. Always a pacy adventure!
