As a crime wave sweeps through Southampton seemingly at random DI Helen Grace seeks to solve them but with very few clues or even a cause she's at a disadvantage. Slowly as each crime reveals another piece of the puzzle will she be able to stop the perpetrator or will she be too late.

Although I hadn't read of the previous DI Helen Grace novels I was able to pick up Truth or Dare and really enjoy it. A really absorbing crime thriller (more so as I live not too far from Southampton) with interesting characters which I read in one go on a sunny afternoon.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review

Yet another fantastic instalment in the DI Helen Grace series!

Whilst this can be read as stand alone it definitely works better as part of the series.

With twists and turns you aren’t expecting and certain characters you really want to get their comeuppance from the get go, this book is just as good as it’s predecessors.

I can’t wait to see what happens in the next Helen Grace book as this one left it with no one Helen could trust!

I hadn't read any of this series of crime thrillers featuring DI Helen Grace in Southampton, but I found it engrossing. A series of seemingly unrelated crimes has the police in a flurry and the DI is under intense pressure from her superiors and the local media to make progress, but the crimes seem to have no link.
Also she's fighting insubordination from DS Hudson, who she unwisely had a brief affair with. He's determined to bring her down.
With careful detective work, she gradually works out that all the crimes are related in a weird pay-back way, coordinated by a psychologist that all the perps see for various addictive traits.
The ending leaves you hanging, and I'd be interested to see what happens next!

Such a fab book! I’ve never read any of the other Helen Grace books but this one was great! Definitely the most elaborate crime novel I’ve ever read and it kept you guessing up until the end.
