I only recently discovered Christensen’s poetry, and have read a few shorter pieces on her blog. Seeing that she published one in ebook form was a pleasant surprise that I wanted to check out.

While this ebook is only one poem in length, I feel that it was a great choice for her first publication. It’s has a great emotional tone. It also uses a repetitive set of lines to solidify its meaning for the reader, but not in an annoying “I’ve read this already” way. It was natural to the poem.

I hope this poet comes out with a collection, because I’d be one of the first to pick it up. I see a lot of potential in Christensen’s work.
