I am on a dip in dip out re-read of these. It takes awhile to get used to the jumping into different people's stories... a bit like a soap opera... but am getting there. Can't really comment cos I don't actually feel that I know any of the characters that well. But, I still have a fair amount of disdain for Linda cos of how she was in the first book. Ah well.

Unless you have read whole series don't really bother as hordes of people with back stories you don't clearly know keep popping up. And by popping up I mean they tend to have more page time than the protagonists.
I started skimming big time.
Plus the writing and story constructing style wasn't really appealing to me - kind of simplistic and ... colourless. A lot of telling not showing happening too.
Not bad enough to annoy me but certainly left me indifferent to the fates of everybody involved.

I have read this series on and off for a long time.

I find I find a set of characters read a few and then have enough and table it for a while.

So when was at the beach on vacation and wanted an easy read I picked this out of my library. I had downloaded it when it was free because Daisy was one of those characters you pulled for. (BTW I skipped a few books before this one - the couples did not peak my interest)

Daisy deserves happiness and David deserved to be redeemed.

Nothing earth shattering - probably closer to a 3 1/2 than a 4

I was happy to see

OMG Marie has done it again. I absolutely loved David and Daisy's story. I also think she includes the right amount of updates on others. And while we don't have updates on every past character most of them show up with a sentence or two to let you know they are still around. This book had me tearing up multiple times out of laughter, love and some overwhelming emotion. I love that David was remorseful of his past mistakes and that everyone seemed to be able to get past them and bury the hatchet so he could get his HAE. I look forward to the continuation of Gansett Island love stories.
