“So nowadays I try to make a little more space for the impossible to happen.”
3.75 stars from me.
I like the story in itself and think the world-building of the Bookwanderers is interesting and fun to read about. The reason I'm not in love with this book is that I didn't feel for the main character Tilly as much as I could. I thought in the beginning that she was rather noisy and rude. Also the other characters (including Tilly) weren't as descriptive and fleshed out the way I like characters in books.
Overall though I think this is a cute sweet story and I like the concept of book wandering.

Very cute! I really enjoyed it a lot. I do wonder if kids who haven’t already read Anne of Green Gables, Alice in Wonderland and The Little Princess would appreciate it as much? And I mean, the revelation on Tilly’s father is a little scandalous! But I am definitely planning to read the next one and have already recommended it to a friend with a young daughter.

I've got to be absolutely honest and say I really wanted this book as it looked so nice, and it is a beautiful book with a stunning red finish.
Pure avarice aside though, this is a book lovers dream, the first couple of chapters were spent describing every booksellers dream bookshop, all higgledy with nooks to sit and read, with shelves stacked high of all our favourite books.
This description was topped with such wonderful descriptions of food that it made me hungry, especially the repeated marshmallow line.
The story follows the adventures of Tilly and her travels through the world of books, literally. This book magic is wonderfully described and another wish-fulfilment by someone who obviously loves books.
Supporting characters and baddies are well-fleshed out and never feel as though they are tacked on, Mr. Chalk is wonderful.
This is such a fresh adventure opening up a new world of magic to explore, and one we all wish we had the ability to do. So looking forward to the further adventures of Tilly and the Bookwanderers.

I reread this on audio and I HIGHLY recommend that format. The narrator is excellent and I enjoyed the story even more than I did the first time.

This book was really good and had so many hidden treasures thought it. I loved how the author gave everyone a brain in it and not just the select few characters and how everything had a familiar touch to it (cause its a book written from a booknerds point of view it relatable for us booknerds) There was so much of this book I loved that I was said for it to end and also wished that it was made for a more mature audience just cause it has potential in that area to if the author every wanted to go there.
BOOK COVER: 5 Omg this book cover is amazing and no pic ever does it justice.
RATING: G this could really be read by anyone and to anyone.
OVERAL: Sad it ended
FAVE CHARACTER: Jack he isn't the main character or really a full significant character but he is rather amazing and some stuff he has said has really made me wonder
WOULD YOU READ MORE FROM THIS AUTHOR: Yes I would like to look into reading more books from this author cause this one was actually rather enjoyable
RECOMMEND: Any and everyone there are so many hidden treasures in this book that would appeal to a large reading group and its one of those books that is okay for little kids to.

So good! I was surprised to like it so much when I started reading it to my nieces at bedtime that I ended up needing to finish it. They weren’t as big of fans as me because they didn’t get all of the references but now they want to read more of the books mentioned
