As the sequel is out next month, I decided to give this another go (as I think it just wasn't the book for me right then when I read it first) and I'm so, SO glad I did! Can't wait for book 2!

This was a really good book! I’m reading the others in the series now.

This book is adorable. Any excuse to read books where the protagonist gets pulled into another book is my favourite.
This story is about Tilly, an 11-year-old, who lives with her grandparents and finds out that she has this book wandering magic. Throughout this book, she makes a really good friend, learns more about her parents and her past, and gets brought into this whole new world of magic.
This book feels fresh and happy and bring so much nostalgia over certain books that they deep dive into. ALeo, there is such an emotional thread through this story when you learn more about Tilly and her family.
I really enjoyed it and I really recommend it.

Oh my god, I love this so much. The first time I've read a middle grade book in years, it took me right back to Tillys age.

A book for kids that love books! Tilly is a bit different, as is her whole family, but we don't understand just how special until she meets the characters from her favorite books- and then follows them into the book! But she and her friends quickly learn not all books are a good place to visit, and not every character from a book is there to help you!
