This book was a gift from my mum (she saw it being recommended on booktube) and it turns out mother does know best because I loved this one.

This was such a great Middle-Grade book! I loved all the literary references and the idea of Book Wandering.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars over 5 is because there are still a LOT of questions I have about the ins and outs and rules and regulations of Book Wandering. I'm sure the ability and all its nuances will be more thoroughly explained in future books, but for now, I was a bit confused as to why things were able to happen the way they were at certain times.

Overall, though, I really enjoyed this book and would absolutely recommend it for any and all Middle-Grade readers, but I especially recommend this for book lovers. What reader HASN'T dreamed of escaping into the book they're reading (literally!) every now and again? What a cool story idea, and I look forward to seeing where this series takes Tilly and company in the future!

A nice read. Revisited some of my favourite stories growing up. An interesting concept for sure jumping into books. I can see why the children all enjoy this one.

Honestly one of the best kids books I’ve read in a long time. Pretty sure I enjoyed it as much as my third grader.

What a gorgeous book! This may be a middle grade book but I adored it just as much as an adult. I’d have loved this as a child but it’s a book adults who love books will also love! I was completely sucked into Matilda’s world, and I adore the concept and magic of book wondering. I loved the twists, the adventure, every single page. A gorgeous quick read and I can’t wait to carry on with the series!  My goodness I love loved this!!
