Another reread but I won’t be rereading anymore from this series. Huge let down compared to the first time when I read this series 10 years ago. So much whining, more of the same proclaimed love on every page turn, the use of the word mine is used at least 1000 times, I wish I was exaggerating there. It hasn’t aged well and is throwing so many red flags I think I may catch fire. If you’ve read it before don’t re read and if you haven’t read it before don’t read it anyway.

I'm not sure what this was that I tried to read... This is not the second book to a series where I fell in love with the characters. The Brooke I loved was strong, assertive, knew what she wanted... I was proud of her. This is not the same person.... I just couldn't read this, and from what I gathered, her personality does not grow in this book, it doesn't revert back to what she was like in Real. The whiny, annoying character in this book was not someone I cared to read about. Sorry to those that enjoyed this series, I loved the first book, I'll pass on all the rest.

1. I loved the connection they built using music.
2. I loved how they scent each other. Fucking sexy.
3. I loved how he licks her (yes please) and makes sure she has all of "him".
4. I loved how he wasn't afraid to show that he needed her (looking for her in the crowd) and throwing games so she could touch him.
5. I love Remington Tate. Remington Tate is everything.

"Mine" is the second book in the "Real" series by Katy Evans and continues the story of Remington Tate and Brooke Dumas after the events in book one, "Real". I was torn reading this book. Whatever little affection I had for Brooke completely went out the window with this sequel. She was whiny and insecure and made some really dumb moves and had equally dumb presumptions in this story. I'm sorry, Brooke fans, but I simply didn't like her. Even the supporting cast of characters had more backbone and personality than she did.
What did save this book was Remy. He was a great lead character because he was outwardly an alpha male yet suffered from his own demons, sometimes leading him to total despair. Flawed leads make a story seem more real and believable in my eyes...so I'm just going to consider Remy falling for Brooke as being one of those flaws. Hahaha!
There's a LOT of sex in this book to the point that I skimmed through majority of the scenes (GASP!). There also happens to be a lot of unnecessary periods. Like. This. It. Was. Beginning. To. Get. On. My. Nerves. Once, twice, heck, thrice, it would be okay, but it felt like it was happening in every freaking chapter. O.O
Sadly, Remy alone could not convince me to give the book a higher rating. :( This had potential and that letter Brooke wrote to Remy almost made me reconsider my dislike for her (almost being the operative word) but it had hiccups that proved to be distracting. So, I'm giving "Mine" three out of five stars.

dont care what anyone says, I love Remy :) Despite all that he is dealing with from going blue to black, I love that Brooke loves him all the same. Sure he has his episodes but everyone is there for him that matters. Brooke and Remy's love is intense, but you just root for them all the way. I forgot how much I missed them :) Looking forward to starting Remy so we can get his POV. I'm sure it will be amazing!! Whether he is blue or black, I will forever be a Remy fan :)
This is a series you will WANT to read !!

I forgot why I liked Real. I'd had Mine preordered for at least 80 days and was waiting for its release long before that, so needless to say there were a lot of books in between... The first few chapters of Mine were slow, and I did forget, why I loved Real and had waited so long for this, and why I loved Remington 'Riptide' Tate. Then, all of a sudden, BOOM, and oh-my-fucking-god I remembered exactly why I fell in love with Remy. He is the hottest Alpha EVER... He made me drool.. I was so into this book with Remy and Brooke that I actually felt jealous when Brooke was jealous! Like sick-to-my-stomach-jealous, not just yehh-I'm-jelly-jealous! Props to Katy Evans for that.
I cannot WAIT to read Remy and see things from his POV.

Ok, so I gave this 5 stars because of how much I love Remy. He's the perfect BBF...ever (Well, other than Kellan Kyle of course). I do have to admit, if it wasn't for Remy, I would have probably only given the book 4 stars... maybe even 3.5.
I began to get very annoyed very early on with the description of his body...and the color of his hair...and the smell of his skin. Seriously, enough was enough. The story line was good and the characters were awesome like we knew they would be, but the over describing every detail of Remy just got old...quick. We knew his eyes were blue. We knew he had an eight-pack. We knew he smelled of manliness. I didn't need reminded ever paragraph on every other page.
I feel horrible with this review, but I'm being absolutely honest. In the end, Remy still won (like always) and I couldn't deduct for the annoying descriptions.
