I hereby dub K. Bromberg the queen of symbolism! She weaves it in her stories SO amazingly. Racing, candy bars, superheroes... so much symbolism!
On to the story...
Crashed picks up where Fueled left off. If you haven't read it, stop reading this review and go read it (and Driven as well!)
We all remember the cliffy that we were left with at the end of Fueled. The one that made us scream? The one that made me want to throw my kindle? Yeah, that one.
So, here we are with our lovely Colton broken and battered after his accident. I am not going to spoil it, but really... you can guess as to whether he lives or not ;) Wouldn't be much of a book without him, would it?
How Colton reacts to his injuries kills me. Just kills me. I wanted to throttle him more than once. (ok, maybe 50 or so times). I also wanted to scream at Rylee for taking it. I know, I know...she loved him. However, he was SUCH a douchebag. It was hard for me to get past it. I understand someone lashing out at the person that they love, especially when they are so broken (as Colton is) but DAMN! It was difficult to watch.
Then we have the redemption. Watching Colton become whole was amazing. It was so well written. I love that it wasn't easy. I love that it was WORK. I love how he did it. I love how Rylee supported his journey to becoming whole. *swoon*
There were parts of this book that gutted me. Parts that made me angry. Parts that made me cheer. Parts that made me cry. Parts that made me sappy. That is the mark of a wonderfully written book. When you run the gamut of emotions, you know you are reading something good. And believe me, I had emotions during reading this. LOTS of them!
I was sad to see the story of Colton and Rylee come to an end. It was a beautiful, difficult love story. Even though I was sad for it to end, I was so happy to read their epilogue. They really do get their HEA. It's worth all of everything they went through.
Now, here's the squee worthy news: Next up is Becks and Haddie. I am DYING to read Haddie's story. I just adore that girl!

It was ok. More interisting than the 2 books before. Lots of things happened - it was like watching an action movie.
I don't understand the purpose of Tawny (is she that stupid ? How can she be so sure of herself ?) and Rylee spends her time crying... she can't possibly have that much water in her.
The FSOG references disappear a bit (that why the story was ok)

Aaahhhh!! What a ride! And what an ending!! Thank you for giving us a 10 year epilogue - I had fallen so in love with these characters, I was so relieved to read there was an epilogue without giving anything else way!
The love that grows between Rylee and Colton makes you smile, makes you laugh and boy does it make you cry. I cried actual tears while reading this book - what an emotional rollercoaster!
5 stars - Read within 24 hours.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would! There has been a lot of hype about this book, sometimes that can create high expectations that the book doesn't live up too. Crashed went far and above all expectations that I had and is by far one of the best books that I have read. There were so many emotions in this book, I went from crying to laughing to wanting to throw my kindle across the room. Kristy Bromberg is an amazing author and has a truly magnificent gift, I wish that I could go back and read this for the first time again because it was an amazing experience.
