It’s not that I didn’t like this volume, a lot of elements I enjoyed quite a bit, especially seeing some of eraser heads school days, alongside other pro hero’s from the main series. I think mainly my biggest gripe was how most of Kiochi’s achievements in the arc, and how well he was helping CC, was just overshadowed by All might coming in and fixing the whole situation. Taking the high stakes ending of volume 7, and just resolving it near instantaneously. Although, on a positive note, I enjoyed seeing more of Knuckle dusters past be revealed, and getting his fight scene with the high speed villain, who has multiple quirks similar to the Nomu in the main series. Hopefully the next volume is more exciting, and doesn’t have another quick fix from Almight, and we get to see more gritty vigilante justice from the characters that we’ve had so much time invested in.

Aizawa is one of my favorite characters. And though I know what's coming next, I can't wait to read more.

I can't keep a straight face while reading this. His Purple Highness BROKE me. Also, I'm sure this young Azaiwa arc is gonna break me in a sad way

This might be my favourite volume so far. I’m loving the main plot and the fight scenes, and ADORING the Aizawa backstory part (he’s one of my favourite characters). Can’t wait for the next volume!!

This series has some serious pacing issues.

It does have some redeeming character moments. It also holds some information on MHA characters past which at the moment is one of the main reasons I am sticking to reading this.
