I now ( a month later) that this book was really ... not good. It's because i already gave it one star and don't know how to change it, that it doesn't have zero stars. Okay the sory about the daughter in the hospital were she might not wake up from a coma is well written. But the story about the parents after all of the fights getting back together because in the hard times they found each other back? Plus the lawyer- new - boyfriend of the mother who tries to win something out of it and gets at the end nothing? because he is a jerk? it's just all too predictable. I love the shopaholic-serie of Sophie but this? No, please never again

If you are looking for a Sophie Kinsella book, don't pick up this. In the beginning, Madeleine Wickham, who is the real Sophie Kinsella, explains why she writes under 2 different names. The reason she gives is that they are 2 very different writing styles. And she couldn't be correct. While I prefer the Kinsella books, this book was good.

L'histoire en elle-même est super sympas à lire, mais la fin est trop rapide!

I found this story hard to follow/get in to . The ending was a bit disappointing too (in my opinion)

Review - This is probably my least favourite Sophie Kinsella / Madeleine Wickham book because the story just didn't really seem to have a purpose. There's an accident, then accusations and a resolution, but nothing really happens. Wickham's writing is consistent and funny as per usual, but this novel lacks the oomph that her other books have. The characters all seemed 2D and it's easy to forget them once you finish reading the novel.

Not overly cliche. A good read.
