This was a lot of fun and reminded me of what I used to like about Janet Evanovich. It didn't feel as stale and repetitive as her Stephanie Plum series has gotten. It was just funny and entertaining.

Fast paced, incredulous tale, but there is something very fun about the Adventures of Barnaby & Hooker. I loved hearing from some characters in book one, plus I love when a story wraps up nicely at the end.

I think I liked this one better than the first one. The plot flowed from one crazy event to another very smoothly, so it didn't feel like just a random collection of stupid things. Yes, they were still stupid and random, but it made sense in a way, so it was good.

By the end I did a lot of laughing out loud. Kind of embarrassing.

A good follow-up book in action, though by the end the toil and trouble didn't make much of a dent in the bottom line. No ground was truly gained and the moral standing of the last sentence is disappointingly questionable.
