Heartwarming and beautiful Christmas novel. Brydie Benson sells her home and bakery business after a divorce from her ex-husband. She takes care of Teddy Roosevelt, a pug that belong to Pauline, who is declining health and lives in a nursing home. Brydie meets new friends along the way. This is a great story about rebuilding your life and never giving up on yourself. Excellent book to read for the holidays. Season's Readings everyone!

3.5 ✨ a cute holiday-adjacent pup-focused story. There are multiple storylines and a lot going on here, including lots of baking. A fun story for anyone who wants a light doggy read.

When Byrdie finds her husband sleeping with the hired help, she loses both her marriage and her bakery business. She leaves town and moves in with her best friend Elliot for awhile. Elliot's in real estate and connects Byrdie with a house-sitting opportunity that just happens to come with a pug named Teddy Roosevelt.
They get off to an uneasy start, but things improve as the two get to know each other and as Byrdie starts baking dog treats!

Friendship, romance, dog parks and baked goods - all in one book... with recipes in the back.

True confession - I'm a pug lover so how could I not enjoy a book with this cover?

Super quick and entertaining read! Never would have expected that I would not want to put it down. Not truly a Christmas-themed story, but has a lovely warm ending.
